She pulled her tiny car up to the manor and parked in on the street locking it before running up the steps to the house and swinging the front door open. She shut it behind her before running up the steps and heading for the attic. She didn't care who she ran into this time, she was on a misson. She just hoped that no one was hogging the book of shadows. She ran up the stairs leading to the attic and swung open the door not bothering to close it behind her glad when she didn't see anyone in there. She set down her purse on the poition table and walked around immediately flipping through the pages of the book looking for one spell in particular.
She looked up when she heard someone coming up the attic stairs. She stood on her tiptoes in hopes that she could see around the coner even a little better, but she failed until she saw the person round the corner. She rolled her eyes and smiled looking back down at the book and flipping through the pages again.
"What are you doing up here?"
She looked up to check that she wasn't talking to herself before looking back down at the book and flipping pages again.

Matthew ran down the road as fast as he could in his black jeans and black shirt. He was breathing somewhat heavy and his eyes looked cold and angry. And almost seemed to be glowing in a raging color. He was running as hard as he could without any sense of stopping. He ran in front of traffic without another thought as he raced to the one place he knew it would go away... The Manor.
Matthew finally got to the Manor and noticed the door was unlocked. He took breaths through his nose in attempt to control the abnormal breathing. He walked up the stairs his eyes still being all funky on him. He snuck slower up the stairs trying to avoid the creaky ones. He grabbed a metal bar and gripped it tight in his hands as he walked to the attic door. He looked around not seeing anyone so he walked in.
Matthew jumped when he heard the voice and his head snapped to where it came from. He saw Maida and he dropped the bar pushing his eyelids closed to hide. "N-Nothing... Just the uh book." He spoke in a husily almost venomous voice. He put his hands to his head and grabbed his hair as the voice started to yell in his head to do something he really didnt want to do. "Look up something for....... Temporarily blocking your mind.... NOW!" He yelled the last part accidently as he walked across the room and leaned against the wall.
Do it... Take something and kill her like the witch she is.. The voice spoke louder and louder in his head. He growled somewhat at the voice and gripped his hair harder trying to keep a grip on himself. But he was losing. He let one hand go of his hair as he reached over and grabbed the iron bar shakily. "No I wont." He muttered to himself as he dropped the bar back to the ground and grabbed his hair once more. The headache. The voice. The hatred and anger. He just wanted everything to go away. She watched Matthew carefully seeing something obviously was eating at him. She didn't know him completely well, but Maida was smart enought to know something was up and whatever it was it wasn't good. She slowly took the book off of the stand and walked over to the couch sitting down and placing it in her lap hurriedly flipping through it and watching Matt out of the corner of her eye.
"What are you trying to block?"
Her voice shook knowing she knew how to control her powers, but if something happened could she defend herself? She continuied to flip through the bok trying to drag whatever imformation she could from him and watched as he picked up the bar and then set it back down. Now that she could move easily, but what if he had something else? She watched him continue to fight whatever was eating at him momentarily stopping her flipping motion of the pages in the massive book. She sat up as tall as she could her dark brown eyes locking on his and studying him before jumping and continuing her flipping through the book.
"Are you sure you just want to block whatever is in your head? I think you just need to get rid of it permenately....We can come up with..."
She slowly trailed off and stopped getting up off the couch and slowly creeping toward him.

Matthew started pulling at his own hair making faces as he tried thinking about something. Anything. Maybe his mom? Shes one of them... Destroy them all they are just in your way... you have greatness... control it the right way......... Get her. The voice pulsed through his head. "No! They didnt do anything!" He spoke in a struggling voice as the demon continued to manipulate and control his mind.
Matthew listened to Maida and he shook his head violently. "NO! Just temporary... I want to find.... The freak... doing this to me.." He spoke coldly as he dropped down on his hands and knees. His fingers trying to dig into the wood for something to hold onto. "Just... LOOK." He spoke and started shaking even more. He opened his eyes and they were glowing a maroon color as he looked at her with a glare he couldnt control.
Matthew watched her creep closer and he growled glaring at her. "DONT COME NEAR ME! DONT TOUCH ME!" He yelled angrily and he reached for the bar finally starting to lose what sane he had left. Kill her... Kill her... The voice spoke over and over again. "Kill her." He spoke in a possessed voice as he charged towards her but last minute he got little self control. "No! Im not!" He spoke angrily as he started to shakily step back.
Destroy.... You want to.... None of them understand you Matthew.... Not one.... You.. are.. alone.. The voice taunted him and he let out a yell of frustration as he turned around and bashed the iron bar through the wall. Completely. He started to push his hands through the hole tearing at the wood panels. Ripping them out with his bare hands. "Destroy..." He muttered and once he was finally satisfied he fell to the floor barely concious.
Matthew wouldnt deny that this is frightening. But he couldnt control the impulses the demon implanted in him. He was just glad he had it under control before something terrible happened. His hands were slightly bleeding from the tearing at the wood and he was breathing heavily with his eyes closed. But he was still concious. Just... Regrouping honestly. [/blockquote]

She stared and him and stopped abruptly in her tracks when he picked up the metal bar the demon obviously wanting her and some others dead. Was it witches? She concentrated on the bar about to blast it from it hand when he stopped and lowered it himself. She brought the book over to the stand looking up and seeing him tear through the wall. She stared at him confused never seeing anything like it. In a way it was fascinating, but on the other hand it was awful to watch and she couldn't imagine what it would be like to be the victim. She watched as he collapsed to the ground before walking over and knealing next to him gingerly picking up his arm and walking him over to where she had set down the book. She pointed to the spell her hand slightly shaking.
"Thats the spell Matt. Stay here, I'll be right back..."
She walked down the stairs to one of the bathrooms looking for gauze and finally finding it. She grabbed it and cntinuied her way to the kitchen to get him some advil and a cup of water. She hummed a song that she played on her piano to calm her nerves. She filled the glass with water before turning around and hearing someone walking around upstairs, but they didn't seem to be i the attic anymore from what she could hear. She froze in her tracks humming a little louder and taking deep breaths. She wished she had come with Mischa or brought even anyone else, but being alone in the house with Matt scared her to death. She looked around just now realizing that it really was just her and Matt in the house and suddenly wondering why. The manor was usually buzzing with activity, but today it was completely silent except for the foot steps coming from upstairs. She sloly made her way toward the steps hoping all of the training her mom had put her through would finally pay off it she needed it. she stopped at the turn of the staircase staring upstairs holding the gauze, glass of water, and advil in her hands and still humming as she slowly crept up and up again.

Matthew listened to his cousin speak about the spell and he flickered his eyes open. Back to their original brown as he looked at the book. He whispered the spell and felt his mind clear from the thoughts he dreaded and listened to everyday. He rested his head on the book, closing his eyes again, and getting his breathing under control. He layed there still and quiet as he regrouped himself.
Matthew was sweating by now and he heard a noise. Of footsteps. His eyes flickered open and he grabbed the side of the couch pulling himself up. Was there a demon in the house or was it just Maida? He picked up the iron bar carefully and slowly wincing in pain as he did and tiptoed to the door. Though his boots probably gave him away. He hid by the side of the door gripping the bar and he counted to three in his head turning the corner ready to attack if it was someone he didnt want to see.
Once he saw it was Maida he dropped the bar and leaned against the doorway shutting his eyes in relief. "Im..... really really.... sorry..." He spoke seriously as he opened his eyelids and looked at her with his brown eyes. "Really I am... Im just.... It..... Its hard to explain." He spoke and started to walk towards the book picking it up.
Matt rubbed his head from the headache as he flipped through the book. Trying the billionth time to search for the demon he needed. Even though he knew he already wasnt in there. Maybe he overlooked something.. But he doubted it. Didnt hurt to try. He saw his hands bloodied up and he looked at them confused. "How in the..." He wondered to himself and he looked over at the huge hole in the wall. "Crap... freaking lovely... Oh well as long as that wasnt you I guess its fine.." He muttered and started to pick parts of wood from his wounds. Needless to say, it hurt. [/BLOCKQUOTE]

She jumped and swore under her breath to see Matt atanding at the doorway ready to smack her with the iron bar. She swallowed hard and sidled handing him the glass of water and the advil. she frowned that she didn't get tweezers to get the wood out of his cut, but she still had the gauze and peroxide. She led him over to the couch as he apologized and said she wouldn't explain. She carefully pushed the wood out with her finger nail before turning and dumping peroxide on some gauze.
"Well why don't you try me? I'm a lot better at understanding stuff like this than my sister is..."
She glanced up at him and smiled before slowly looking back down at his hand and dabbing the peroxide on it.
"And about earlier...I'm not gonna say I understand because trust me I don't...but...its okay...at least I'm not dead right now right?" She paused before continuing. "Could I be dead right now? I mean you wanted to kill me right?"
She grabbed a new piece of gauze and put more preoxide on it this time keeping it on his hand and wrappign more gazuse around it to hold it in place before moving onto his other hand carefully and gingerly trying not to hurt him anymore than he already was.

Matthew watched her jump and he sighed. He saw her give him advil and water and he took the advil swallowing the pills with the water. "Thanks... I dont deserve it... But thanks." He spoke and set the water down. He looked down at his feet as she led him over to the couch. He let her have his hand and he winced slightly every once in a while for the really deep ones. He stared at the other side of the room deciding it would hurt more if he was paying attention.
Matthew listened to her speak and bit down hard on his pierced lip. "Son of a --" He muttered but kept his hand still. He took a shakey breath and nodded. "Maybe... I just... I dont know... I dont want you to get involved and getting hurt is all..." He spoke seriously. His family was the first thing on his mind usually. Even if the voice made him question that often.
Matthew listened to what she said and he sighed some. "Well.... Yeah if you want to put it that way.... But technically... Its not me doing it... Like I said its hard to explain... Basically im uh.... Hearing things...." He spoke biting his lip. "You cant tell nobody though alright? Not my mother, nobody. I can take care of this.... Its just taking longer then expected." He spoke as he continued to bite at the lip. "Its just.... A demon telling me things.... I.... well.... Im trying to find him and get rid of him..." He spoke obviously nervous and worried. He winced as she started to dab the other hand. Ah it hurt. But he was used to pain by now. It was basically daily he felt it. [/blockquote]

She stared at what she was doing as he spoke to her wondering why he didn't want anyone to know. She frowned wraping up his other hand before sitting back on the couch and staring at him intently.
"Why don't you want your mom to know? Can't she help? I mean if its a demon.....Wait, did you look in the book yet? If its a living demon it has to be in there...that a 5 generation old book..."
She got up walking over to the book slowly picking up the heavy thing and walking to the couch sitting next to him wanting to help and understand.
"Besides Matt, If i'm asking I'm honestly interested. I'll be fine...I'm a big girl and can take care of myself...why don't you try explaining it....hearing a demon speak to you isn't completely weird...."
She opened the book and slowly flipped through it taking time to look at every entry to see if it could possibly be the demon that was tormenting Matt. She was just relieved he wasn't nessecarily the one that wanted her dead.
"Is he a witch hunter?"
She glanced up staring at him, searching his face carefully trying to read it to get any sort of information from him that could be useful.

Matthew listened to what she asked and he sighed somewhat shaking his head. "No no and no... She cant help... I dont want her to help... I dont need anybodies help... Everyones always treating me like im a child... I can take care of this..." He spoke completely seriously. He didnt want nor need help from any of them. "He isnt in the book... Ive looked and looked. Honestly? I dont really know who im looking for but I remember in description what he looks like." He spoke drawing the figure of the man in his head remembering.
Matthew watched her get up and walk over getting the book and he sighed shaking his head. "Your wasting your time..." He muttered as he messed with the bandages on his hands. Just to give himself something to do with his hands. "LOOK." He spoke getting somewhat aggrivated. "I realize that you can take care of yourself so trust me when I say I can take care of myself... You are worrying about something bigger than you Maida... You have no idea how this feels and trust me you DONT want to know. So just leave it alone alright?" He spoke seriously.
"But I will tell you how it happened... or how I think it happened... Remember when I disappeared for a few days in 6th grade and my mom freaked out?... Well I was attacked by a demon and captured... I was unconcious for the longest time and while I was unconcious I think he did something to me. Cause ever sinse I hear him in my head constantly. Sometimes he demands me to do things... I dont want to do them but its overpowering... Its just so complicated. That I barely understand it myself." He spoke staring at his bandage.

She put up her hands in defense quickly growing scared again as he jumped down her throat saying that his mom couldn't know and that she couldn't help, and much less...he didn't seem to want her to. She sat there and listened to him about how he think this demon got in his head and how it couldn't be in the book of shadows.
"Well that all sounds plausable Matt, but....I really don't think you can do this on your own..."
She sat there preparing herself for him to jump down her throat again and ready for anything he could throw at her. She continuied to flip through the book remembering her real reason for coming to the house in the first place. That all seemed like it happened yesterday and her reason seemed to fail in comparance to Matt's. He was being attacked by a demon day in and out and couldn't do anything to seem to stop it, and she wanted a spell for something which she guessed would be considered personal gain. She looked down at her wrist at her tattoo. She moved it showing it to Matt.
"It's a snake chasing it's tail....it means re-birth...I got it when I was rebelling against my dad and Mischa. I want to help Matt...you deserve a new start...."
She pulled her wrist back laying her hands back in her lap knowing he was going to refuse, but she could help him without him knowing right? The picture of the guy sat infront of her and the book was always in the house. What could keep her from looking for this guy? She smirked quickly letting it vanish not wanting to lead on Matt to her plan.

Matthew watched her grow defensive and he shook his head. "Sorry.." He spoke and he took a deep breath in and out. He listened to her say that she didnt think he could do this on his own and he narrowed his eyes somewhat at her. "And why the hell cant I?" He asked looking at her getting slightly defensive. He didnt like the fact that people thought he couldnt do things by himself. He was 16 not 4. "I have the power to time travel. Now I know im not very good at it just yet but im working on it so I can travel back 5 years ago so I can stop him." He spoke seriously. "I can take care of myself."
Matthew watched her as she looked in the book again and he sighed. Wondering what she was looking for. He already told her the demon wouldnt be in there. Wait why was she there in the first place before he barged in? "What are you looking for?" He asked in a way trying to change the conversation.
Matthew listened to her speak and he sighed looking at her tattoo. "Look Maida. I know you mean well and stuff. But I can take care of this by myself. If I dont do this and get rid of him then I feel like I will have to be asking for help for the rest of my life if theres something difficult coming. I just want to take care of this by myself alright?" He spoke putting his bandaged hand on hers so she knew he was serious. He didnt like asking people for help. Well besides he felt like he could take care of himself, he never really wanted people to go out of their way for him. It was rediculous but that was just Matt. [/blockquote]

She shrugged off his question locating the spell she was looking for. She picked up the book and brought it back over to the stand setting it back down. Who cared if it was considered personal gain? She could handle what was coming at her, well she thought she could. And if Matt really didn't want her help then why did she feel so inclined to?
She found a notepad and a pen and quickly jotted down the spell before shutting the book and walking over to her purse slipping the paper in.
"So you really are fine? You're not going to freak out and ruin the rest of the house when I leave are you?"
She smiled pushing her hair behind her back and leaning on the potion table. A potion...did the spell say anything about a potion? She looked at the spell again and nodded grabbign the ingredients she needed.
"So what are you planning to do now? Go back and stop him? Why didn't you do that before if it was just that easy?"
She threw some of the ingredients into the pot and stirring it looking over at him before throwing the rest in. She walked grabbing a syringe and a bottle before dropping the potion in her purse and leaning on the table again.

A boy appeared out of a blue cloud of mist in the attic, looking at the other two there. "Sorry, I didn't realize anybody was here." he said looking from Matt to Maida. "What's wrong?" he asked suddenly, looking at Matt's bangades. "May I?" he asked, bending down to him, watching as Maida dropped a potion into her purse. "What was that?" he asked her, looking down to the wounds. Looking at the book. "But, I do have something important to tell you. I'm a Charmed One!" he exclaimed. Waving his hand, the book orbed next to him. Pointing a finger at the joined Triquetra on the cover of it. "See?" he asked the two. Returning his gaze to the bandages.
Pulling off the gauze slowly, he put his hands over the wound as the orange glow began to emit from them, watching as they closed the wound. "Being Half-Whitelighter rules." he said more to himself, rather than the other two. He looked to the book once more, thinking about once more the responsibilities he would have, or rather have already. Thinking of something. "Matthew, what's wrong?" a bit of concern sprang into his voice when he spoke to him.

Matthew watched her shrug and he shook his head. He sighed and started to mess with his lip ring with his teeth. He watched her jot down what was in the book of shadows. He wondered what it was she was looking for but he decided not to pry. He snapped out of his thoughts when she spoke and he looked at her raising his eyebrows some. He listened to what she said and he let go of his lip ring and rolled his eyes. "Well I dont plan on staying here forever so I think you are free from worry of me exploding into a million pieces in the house." He spoke sarcastically with a slight smile.
That was regular Matthew right there. He had a big heart and cared about everybody. Would always joke around to get a smile or a laugh. The only thing wrong is the demon is tainting it little by little. He listened to what she said and he sighed and rubbed his face somewhat. "Alright well look at it this way... I really havent had the time to focus on making my powers stronger so the farthest I can go back is a year... Which is a problem for I need to go back 5 years. Its very.... tiring to do it over and over again. And I need as much strength as I can muster if I find him." He spoke seroiusly as he looked at the wall.
Matthew felt another prescence appear and he got up bracing himself as he saw someone orb in. Seeing it was just Skylar he let a breath out and sat back down on the couch leaning his head back. Mmm lovely. More of the family. He listened to him ask what was wrong and he shook his head. "Nothing. Everything is peachy." He spoke sarcastically as he closed his eyes sitting there trying to relax while he could. He felt weird. Like he had some unknown grudge against Skylar. He didnt understand why it was so strong right now and it was just plain weird.
Matthew listened to what he said and he opened an eye looking at him. "Charmed one? Like in those stories we've been told millions of times? Okay sure." He spoke and thought about it. Well he didnt really think the magic stories were real but hey turns out it was. "So what. You go around fighting evil now like the three muskateers?" He asked with fake enthusiasm.
Matthew felt him take of the gauze and heal him and he sighed and rolled his eyes. Eh he didnt want help but fine whatever floated his boat. Once Skylar was done he rubbed his hands some where there used to be wounds. "Thanks." He muttered and looked over at the wall. He wondered how long that blocking spell was supposed to last for. Cause he had a gut feeling it wasnt very long. For he was starting to feel weird. [/size][/blockquote]
