Prudence walked up to a bench that was close to the playground. She looked out at all the kids who were having a wonderful time. Most of them here with there parents. She remembered a time when her mother and father would bring her here. She used to love playing on all the toys. However the slide was her favorite. Her mother would go up with her and her father would be there to catch them when they got to the bottom. She missed the days when they could go out and do things together. They were a pretty close family, as close as a family can be really. Always doing stuff together. She missed that more then anything.
It had been almost three months since her mother had passed away. It was still hard to grab onto the fact that she would never see her mother again. It was sometimes almost to much to bare. Now with this new power she can't control, it is just like everything is spiraling down hill and she is about to hit the bottom. She is still unsure of if when that day comes when she finally hits the bottom, will she be able to get back up? Only time will tell, but so far it is not looking good. In fact it was looking more frightful by the very minute and she was beginning to worry, but not having the ability to care enough to try and stop it. She had given up already, that much was for sure.
Prudence pulled her legs up under her and looked out once again at all the kids. The smiles and the laughter, brought a faint but still noticable smile to her face. One that hurt so badly she almost cried but she didn't. She held it in like she had been for the past three months. Still she has yet to cry. To let it all out. She was not ready to cry and admit that her mother was gone forever. Her father was doing that enough for the both of them. Right now she had to keep a strong face. She could not fall at the same time he does, or else they will both be lost.

It seemed as if things had gotten a bit darker when Lexi walked toward the park, her dog on a leash at her side a protective look in his eyes as he watched forward for anything that might cause his master any harm. Lexi though had figured it was time to get out of the house for a bit, her bangs falling in front of her wolf like eyes. She had a pensive look about her face, a smirk slowly etching over her lips when she arrived at the park watching all the little kids run around playing with one another. “ Perfect”, she said to herself reaching her hand down to pat her dog on the head. She stood there for a moment scanning her surroundings before she took a seat on a bench.
It seemed as if all the kids ran to her when they seen she had a dog, that was to bad. As soon as they got within biting distance, the dog snapped at the closest one, making them all run away the one he snapped at crying. Lexi snickered a bit at the kid and rubbed her dog behind the ears as if praising him for what he did. “ Good boy Princess”, she said resting her forehead on his for a second. He resembled a true hell hound in way’s especially his personality, his eyes piercing his surroundings till they rested on Prudence. Just as the dog looked at her so did Lexi, knowing almost right away who she was.
Her smirk faded back to the same pensive look as she stared over at the girl with piercing eyes. What was she doing there? Why did she look so upset? All these questions needed to be answered, to curious for her own good. She stood from her seat on the bench soon heading over to Prudence tugging on the leash as she walked, stopping just a few feet from her and gazing toward her with a look of curiosity in her eyes. “ What’s wrong hm?”, she asked in a sort of uncaring tone at first.

Prudence took a deep breath to relax herself. Nothing good ever came out of getting worked up. Just more getting worked up and that was the furthest thing from good right now. She rested her hands by her side. Letting her guard completely down. Maybe a demon would attack her. Oh how much she wished for something. Should it be a demon killing her then so be it. She just needed something. Someone to hurt her, make her feel pain, make her feel anything that was not this mind numbing sadness. It was to much for her to be sad. She felt a shock from her cell phone in her pocket. She needed to remember to start carrying it somewhere else. Whenever she got lost in though, her phone or anything electrical like shocked her and it was generally not a comfortable feeling. It was not even the pain feeling she was looking for which sucked just as much.
Prudence looked over when the kids ran off the playground and then back with a bit of a scream. She didn't pay enough attention to really know what was going on. It all happened to quick for her to devote it her full attention. Though she couldn't really blame it much on how quickly it took. She just was not paying much attention to anything anymore. Which almost got a friend of hers killed the other day. Even though he friend had no idea that it had anything to do with Prudence but she was not paying attention and almost electricuted her. Touching a phone pool at the same time she was trying to get her friends attention. If she would not have realized what happened her friend could have been badly hurt.
“ What’s wrong hm?”
Prudence looked up to see a girl and her dog. The girl looked a little bit familiar although she did not put much into figuring out who she was exactly. Another downfall to her. She used to pay attention to everything. She liked to know what was going on and who was around her. Now it was like she could not even force herself to take in the things around her, or at least hold onto them once she has them.
Nothing to worry about I'm sure

Lexi if nothing else knew of Prudence, and her family for that matter. Having been told many stories about the charmed ones when she was younger, but those seemed to be nothing but memories now, and here she was in the presence of one of the descendants, it seemed that luck was on her side today. Just as soon as Prudence spoke it was like Lexi’s dog went mad, barking and growling at Prudence till Lexi had to stare down at him as if to say shut up. A smug expression crossed Lexi’s lips as she ran her fingers through her hair. “ Here I thought you happy little witches were suppose to be just that, happy and goody-goody all the time, hm so I’m sure it has to be something to worry about if you aren’t prancing around”, she spoke with venom in her voice as if she had some sort of grudge with the girl already.
“ Ya aren’t suppose to look sad if your suppose to be happy now are you?”, she asked some what sarcastically, the dog beginning to pull at the leash trying to get close to Prudence but it wasn’t like he was trying to bite her any more, at least not yet. Lexi of course didn’t know much about Prudence and her powers, she only knew of her. She had no idea that Poor Prudence had just lost her mother recently. But would she give any sympathy even if she did know? Her heart was to iced over to show kindness right off the bat, she wasn’t even the nicest person anyways friend or not.
She soon rested her free hand in her pocket the other fighting with the dogs leash. Lexi’s eyes watching this girl closely as if she was expecting her to try something. She could already tell that Prudence wasn’t the most observant in the world, and that wasn’t going to help her out much in the long run now was it? Especially when it came to when she had to encounter a truly evil demon.

When Prudence heard the strange girl mention that of witches she became uncomfortable. People in the world today knew of witches, but they were not of the most loved. It was dangerous to speak what you were out loud incase there was a mortal near by who was against your kind. Her father had told her this much about magic at least. She was not really scared of what a mortal could do to her, being as she had a pretty good defensive power, but her father had made sure to make it very clear to her that their magic was to be kept from the mortals. They were to fear, more so then the demons that we battle oh so often, which is what she had a feeling the strange girl was. She had a smirk like a demon, yet she was still very intriguing to Prudence. As much as Prudence knew she should leave, she could not bring herself to walk away before she got the chance to socialize with a demon for a short while.
“ Here I thought you happy little witches were suppose to be just that, happy and goody-goody all the time, hm so I’m sure it has to be something to worry about if you aren’t prancing around”
Did being a witch mean that you had to be happy? Did it mean that you had to be good as well. She did not feel like that of a good witch, nor did she feel like she was a bad witch. How very Wizard of Oz it all sounded, but its true. She did not feel like she belonged to a certain side of magic. Mainly because she did not feel that she belong with anything magic at all. She did not ask to be a witch. She was perfectly fine being a normal teenage girl. Going to school, worrying about grades and if the boy you have been crushing on likes you back. What happened to the days when you did not have to worry about when the next demon was going to try and kill you, or which family member was going to be killed off next.
Still I say nothing to worry about. Happiness is highly overrated if I do say so myself, but if you honestly want me to be in a happy bubbly mood like us witches are always in, I will gladly play along.
“ Ya aren’t suppose to look sad if your suppose to be happy now are you?”
I suppose not, good that I am not happy I guess.

The wind began to pick up a bit around the park, causing Lexi to look around as if she was looking for something, maybe someone. The children were still playing on the many toys the park had to offer, like most children and adults alike oblivious to the real world around them till its to late. She didn’t fear mortals in the least, and she wasn’t afraid of them knowing about her powers, But she knew it was best for the whole lot of them if they didn’t know. Chaos on earth is never as fun as it seemed unless it was her that was causing it. It seemed as if she really didn’t care about her kind, she would always have a place to go no matter what kind of hell broke loose on earth. “ Hm I Would rather you not play along that would ruin my fun don’t you think. Happiness really is overrated, So I agree with you there, but still don’t play along”.
Unlike Prudence, Lexi didn’t have worries about who was going to get killed, or have to worry about demons seeing how she was one. The only thing she had to worry about was prissy little witches that thought they had it so bad. But maybe she had a reason for looking so sad? “ well then why are you sad then?”, her head tilted to the side slightly when she asked, curious as ever so it seemed.

Prudence shifted on the bench a bit when the wind picked up. However even though it was getting a little worse then it was earlier, it was still slightly warm, so it did not bother her so much. She lowered her feet down to the ground beneath her. When she was not having a good day sometimes touching the earth was hard, that goodness for her shoes. She had to wear shoes all the time now. The earth had so much electricity pumping through it that sometimes touching it with her bare feet was enough to kill her she got such a shock. Sometimes it felt good when she was calm and able to obsorb it, but at times like these when she was having just a plain awful day, she was terrified of what it could do to her.
“ Hm I Would rather you not play along that would ruin my fun don’t you think. Happiness really is overrated, So I agree with you there, but still don’t play along”
Deal, no pretending to be happy today. Though maybe I should, being as it would piss you off, and what kind of witch would I be if I didn't piss demons off.
Prudence kind of smiled internally. She knew she was not supposed to smart off to demons, just because it could cause problems and the last thing she needs right now are problems. However she could not help herself. It was funny, and she let it show by forcing her internal smile to show on the outside. As much as it hurt to smile she still did it. Just to make the demon not as happy and hopefully make sure that her fun is ruined. Prudence quickly stopped and went back to looking sad.
Yeah I wont even pretend, to much work for me.
