Matthew walked into the alley. He walked far into it and sat down making a fireball in his hand and throwing it up in the air and catching it. In a repiticious process. It was dark and he never really cared for the darkness that much. He wasnt going to be like 'AH DARKNESS = THE SEX W33'. Or something like that. He remembered as a kid when he was afraid of the dark. He figured it kind of rediculous though for there actually were monsters out there in the dark waiting to get you. But now he was old enough to realize that it didnt matter what monsters there were. Good or evil he knew, Fate. Meant. Everything.
Matthew grew up with that plastered in his head. The stories of all the deaths throughout the Halliwell line, made him realize that you cant really try to fight fate. For it would win in the ending anyways. For example his great aunt Prudence. May she rest in peace. Her grandmother and great Aunts tried to fight fate. Yet one of them died anyways. The only thing that ever followed this family was damnation, death, and destruction. The Deadly Triple D's.
Matthew knew that he was given the power of being one of the sources for a reason. That reason was pretty unknown to him about now... Who knows maybe he would die in the end. All the sources tend to. He wasnt afraid of death. Hell what he has been through the past 5 years seemed to be worse than death to him. He wasnt even sure on why he was thinking about all of this right now. Especially this much. Especially with all the other things he could think about.
Yes thats it accept your destiny... The voice in his head spoke to him and he sighed some as he watched the fireball in the air hit his hand. The flames licked the flesh on his palm but he couldnt feel a damn thing. It wasnt hot or anything. Kind of freakish if he had this a few months ago. Then again a lot of things changed over those few months. He extinguished the flame ball with his hand as the alley became black again.

It had been one rough day at a photo shoot in Los Angeles for Roran Willaims for his upcoming movie that would not be released until at least another year. Usually he had fun taking promo pictures, but this year he had been interrupted three times by calls from the Elders and his charges. Roran was having a difficult time covering himself these days, but he knew he couldn't just quit his job- acting was his life, but his whitelighter duties were starting to take that over.
Roran had just arrived back in San Fran rather exhausted. He was headed towards his apartment, though it was dark and he hoped he was going in the right direction. His eyes caught attention to a light coming out of a darkened alley way. He figured it to just be a homeless man warming himself by a trashcan fire, but then as the light instantly disappeared he doubted that to be the case.
He quickened his pace, the scarf around his neck moving lightly against him because of the wind. As Roran reached a foot before the entrance of the alley, he closed his eyes and sensed that only one person was in the alley. Roran leaned his head into the alley but he could barely see the rough outline of what seemed to be a teenage boy.
"Hey..." Roran called into the alley. He hoped it was just some random mortal kid fooling around at night, but if it was a demon he knew that he would have to take action. He took a few steps into the alley as he tried to get a better look at the kid.

Matthew was drawn from his thoughts when he felt someone appear. It seemed to be a guy that was curious. But it was a magical person. But he decided just to ignore it for now. He looked up when he heard the guy speak and he looked at the outline walking closer. "Go away." He spoke in his regular voice as he turned his eyes back to the wall on the other side of the alley.
Matthew felt the person keep on walking towards him and his eyes flared black in defense. "Dont come any closer." He spoke again in his regular voice as he scooted farther into the shadows. He wanted himself to be exiled from this world at the moment. Just some alone time. Yet he couldnt even do that. People barking for orders. Withches and Whitelighters attacking. It got tiresome the way he could never have some me time anymore.
Matthew started getting pissed that the guy was still in the alley so he sat still and let a line of fire appear between him and the magical being. Yeah people would think he was acting cowardly but at times like these he was at his weakest. Where he thought to much and actually gave his witch self some breathing room from the source. It was all very confusing but the point was he didnt want the person to make a move to attack him. He couldnt hardly control the sources power by himself. He looked up his black eyes reflecting the flames. It was just Rowan. "Go look for your charges and leave me." He spoke making the flames disappear. Psh loner much?

Roran had noticed when the eyes of the person flickered to black. This only meant one thing- it was the Source, also known as Matthew, for he could immediately tell it wasn't Prudence- the other source who he could not get over about her being pure evil now. Roran didn't know if it was the smartest thing to be in a dark alley with the Source of All Evil. But, even the Source couldn't vanquish a whitelighter, but he did have control over darklighters and could definitely send one of those to here right at this moment. And he wondered if he should just orb out of her now, not wanting to risk such a thing.
But, Roran wasn't that smart and he decided to stick around. He hadn't really talked to Matthew before, and now in a dark alley, was there a better time? Roran jumped a little as a line of fire appear between them. He wished he had a power to make the flames disappear, but as far as he knew he was weakless when it came to this. He decided against returning an attack, Roran wasn't like that to have an immediate showdown. Instead, he remained behind the fire line.
"Well at the moment, the Charmed Ones seem to be doing just fine," Roran replied as the flames disappeared. "But, it's not like you would care about that, right?" He questioned, wondering how evil Matthew was, he was the Source, but was his main goal at the moment to destroy the Power of Three? Wasn't that always the Source's only goal though besides to just take over the world in general?
(( Sorry for the suckiness, parents were rushing me out to head to dinner. Be back in an hour or two. ))

Matthew watched as Roran jumped back from the flames and he just sighed through his nose looking at the other side of the alley. Kill him.... Hes with them kill him.... The sources voice spoke in his head and he shook it. "Not right now..." He spoke to himself. So what, you are going to take out the perfectly good chance to kill the charmed ones whitelighter? You dont get many chances like this. The voice spoke angrily in his head and he shook his head again. "Do I look like I have darklighter arrows or a darklighter right now? Just shut up I know what I am doing. Im not killing anybody else today. You should be pleased with the number I HAVE killed." He spoke aggrivatedly as he leaned his head back on the wall.
Matthew looked back over at Roran when he decided to speak. Oh lovely. He was probably listening to him talk to himself. Now hes probably thinking 'YES THE SOURCE IS INSANE LET ME GO TELL THE CHARMED ONES SO WE CAN ATTACK'. Or something along the lines. But whatever. If the charmed ones showed up at this very moment he was smart enough to let the Source take over fully that way he would stand a chance and may be able to kill them.
Matthew listened to Roran say that it wasnt like he cared or anything about them. He hesitated a moment but nodded his head "Right." He replied as he crossed his arms on his knees and rested his chin on his arms. He looked at him and glared somewhat. "What are you still doing here anyway? The orbs blocking your hearing or something?" He spoke kind of coldly. He obviously just remembered that Him and Roran equaled not friends. "If you would like I could summon a darklighter to send you away." He threatened hoping he didnt hear exactly what Matthew was talking to himself about earlier. [/blockquote]

Roran was a little nervous as Matthew began talking to himself. Well, he could tell immediately that he actually was not talking to himself but rather the Source that was inside of him, but actually was the Source technically Matthew? No, perhaps he was truly good and this Source was the only evil inside of him. Roran tried to figure out what the other side was saying that he couldn't hear. It seemed to him that Matthew was debating or not whether to kill him or not as he brought up darklighter arrows. Hm, that was probably a good sign to leave, but Roran decided to stick around for a little longer. Roran's left eyebrow raised as he brought up the fact that he had already killed many innocents today. He had to get the Charmed Ones to put a stop to him as soon as possible- this takeover had to end. Well, at least it was a good thing that Matthew had declared he would not kill anyone else today.
"Well, I guess you could say that I just feel like taunting a distressed soul at the moment because I am just that evil,” Roran joked with him. He was immediately confused by his threat. Had it just been his imagination when he heard Matthew say he would not kill anyone else today, or maybe he thought that Roran had not heard him. “Are you sure the darklighters would want to listen to like a kid like you?”

Matthew listened to what he said and he looked up glaring at him with his cold eyes. "Haha wow who knew whitelighters were capable of making jokes besides themself in general." He spoke sarcastically and he turned his glare back to the other side of the wall. Looks like Matthew wasnt really in the mood for jokes dontcha think?
Matthew listened to what he said next and his glare sharpened on the wall and he made the fire barrier between them appear again except closer to Roran. "You know you are really turning this conversation the wrong way if you are trying to talk to me." He spoke aggrivatedly. But he was right... There was definently some resentment in the underworld... They didnt believe them on the Source... But things were changing rapidly for a lot of demons were dieing in the process. "Besides would your charges listen to 'a kid like you'? You dont seem much older than I am... Hell Skylar looks older than you." He retorted with a snap and he stretched his legs out.
Matthew sighed and got up stuffing his hands into his pockets making the flames disappear again. "Look if you are done trying to talk to me.. I have an Underworld to control." He spoke and pursed his lips as he looked at the ground and walked by Roran bumping his shoulder against his while walking by. Yeah he knew he was being teenagerish but isnt that exactly how he was supposed to act? With or without the source? He didnt think this guy knew that he couldnt teleport himself to the underworld. But hey maybe he would get the clue and leave. [/blockquote]

Eh, whitelighter jokes- never fun. Roran was just about getting used to the constant remarks he received from demons, but they still angered him a little that he would like to just reach out and punch Matthew if that would do any good, which it most definitely wouldn’t. As Matthew looked away, he continued to feel a little awkward, wondering why he seemed incredibly just like phased out at the moment. But, maybe that’s how he acted like regularly- Roran wouldn’t be the one to know.
Roran tried to take a slight step back as Matthew made the fire appear again, wishing that he had such a power to put the flames out. They seemed to be awfully close, but Roran knew he was only trying to get him to leave. Roran couldn’t help but to agree with how bad he was making this conversation go, but he had walked in there with no plans in how to start it, and not truly a care either. Really, he was just winging it, and not really thinking of what he was saying having any future consequences.
Well, those statements were true- Roran was completely out of a comeback from being set back by that. It was true Skylar was older than him and Matthew seemed to be not much younger. He began to wonder why his charges even bothered listening to him because of that, but he had gone over this with the Charmed Ones, and they understood the situation and didn’t have a big problem with it which was thankfully good.
“Eh, but that’s something that’s different between me and you. I’m not a complete jerk when it comes to informing my charges of things. Instead I give them a little respect which they deserve,” Roran finally replied. It was sort of a lie because most of the time it seemed like Roran was a complete jerk to his charges, and he felt like they didn’t deserve any respect sometime. But, that was Roran.
Roran watched as the flames disappeared again. He wondered why Matthew seemed to be obsessed with making them disappear and reappear. As Matthew pushed against him, he turned and watched him begin to walk away. “Wait, so you’re going to walk there?” Roran questioned, actually confused on why Matthew just hadn’t immediately teleported down to get away from him.

Matthew watched him take a step back from the flames. He had no idea why he didnt just orb around the flames. After all he seemed to be here for nothing but to piss him off. Then again it seemed like everybody wanted to do that lately. He listened as Roran went a little quiet after he said the two comments about the conversation and his age. "Thats what I thought." He muttered.
Matthew listened to what Roran finally said and he raised an eyebrow some at him. "Yeah cause its your JOB. All you are is basically a nanny. You tell them whats right and wrong and help their booboo's. You have no higher existing in life. Besides none of them deserve respect. I am sure they dont give you much. So I wouldnt be talking." He spoke as he glared at him. He wasnt playing games anymore. The constant insults and crap like that wasnt making him a happy source. And to say the least you wouldnt want to see the unhappy source. You can ask the people that died in that burning building a few days ago.
Matthew was just about out of the alley when he heard Roran speak again. He snorted and turned around looking at him. "You really are dumber then you look arent you? Ever come to think that maybe I have some more Earthly errands to complete? Hm? You think I am really going to fill you in on my plans? If you do you are deathly mistaken." He spoke glaring at the whitelighter. "Why dont you go run off and find your charges. You may need to heal them from some kind of attack." He spoke with a smirk on his face as if he knew something. Its not like he didnt know anything. He had told demons that whenever they grew the balls they could go to the charmed ones and rough them up a bit. After all he couldnt have them on his trail.
