Kylie walked around downtown with her messenger bag. She was looking for something to do. Yet again which was actually a pretty boring way to look at her life. She never had anything to do but go demon hunting and partying. Fun? Sometimes but not when its a constant ritual. She had her iPod buds in her ear as she walked down the street listening to Everything's Magic by Angels & Airwaves. She walked with her hands in her pockets and whistled to the song as she walked bobbing her head back and forth. She didnt even notice walking by a dark alley that wasnt exactly unoccupied.
Kylie started to pass the dark alley when she felt someone grab her and pull her in. She blinked and stiffened to feel an athamae at her neck. Mmmm lovely. She seemed to get into trouble like this constantly. The demon plucked the earbud from her ear and snickered. "Well well well.... I dont think you should be wandering around by dark alleys by yourself... witch." He spoke and snickered some. "Well well well.. Now what would a demon like you be doing hanging around dark alleys looking for lil ol witches like me?" She asked with a smirk. "Dont underestimate me.." He spoke irritatedly. "Alright as long as you dont me.. Oh wait too late." She spoke and orbed out orbing back into the other side of the alley.
But the thing is that the demon forsaw it somehow and started throwing energy balls towards every spot she orbed in. Telepathy maybe? Well this bites. She had an idea and orbed behind a trashcan and the demon threw the energyball at it. It grazed her arm and she narrowed her eyebrows. "Dammit this was my favorite jacket." She spoke looking at the scorch mark and she quickly military rolled to the side away from the trashcan and she plopped up onto her knee and flicked her fingers out watching the demon disintegrate into a million pieces. "Well that was fun." She spoke in a sigh getting up. She looked at her iPod that was on the floor and picked it up turning it off and shoving it in her pocket before examining the ruined fabric of the jacket she was wearing. "Oh well could have been worse." She spoke and shrugged. [/blockquote]

Shane had been pretty much bored all day. He probably could have done some homework being as he was falling behind a little bit, but he just did not feel like doing homework. He had more important things to do, like fight demons and save the world, though he was sure that his teachers would not accept that excuse. His teachers had approached him several times. It was not like him to miss as much school as he was lately and his grades had always been exception, not normal for them to drop as quick as they did. So as much as he should have been at home doing some back homework, he decided to do a little demon hunting.
Shane turned down on of the many alleys of San Francisco, hoping that maybe he would find one of those so called demons here. They liked alleys, being as they could generally find someone that was alone to kill, which kind of defeated the purpose if you ask me. If you do it where no one can see, there is no evidence that you did it at all, so what was the point in the kill really. Seemed like a bunch of wasted time to Shane, but then again Shane was not a demon and did not think the same way that they did.
Shane stopped when he spotted Kylie a few feet in front of him. They had known each other from school and they knew that they were both witches but he got nervous when he was around her. Always tripping over his words and making a fool of himself. One of the many things that happen when you really like someone. Though Shane was shy and would never tell her any of this. Though he thought he had seen some signs once that she liked him in return but he still was not going to chance it. Though he could not just stand here looking like an idiot either so it was his only choice to go talk to her.
Alley's alone are bad for you, ya know?

Kylie sighed and took off her jacket seeing as it would be kind of weird if she walked around with a slightly singed jacket on her. She decided that she would just try to fix it up later. She picked up her messenger bag and stuffed her jacket inside it before putting it around her shoulder. Well hey kind of ironic that she was just complaining about being bored earlier wasnt it?
Kylie heard a familiar voice and she smiled a little bit to herself. She adjusted the strap on her shoulder and turned around to face him. "Yeah but im not exactly alone anymore am I?" She spoke and smiled at him. "Besides Alleys are only bad for demons cause they dont know when someone like you or I can show up." She spoke and walked up in front of him. "So watchu up to Mr Samuels?" She asked and readjusted her bag again. Just because being around him made her kind of weird. Like she always had to have something to do with her hands or something. Eh she was as bad as a love sick puppy and worse thing was she felt it made her look soooo rediculous.
"Got anything better to do then to walk with me maybe?" She asked and bit at her bottom lip some. Pfft she was being such a dork. Snap out of it. Hes just a guy..... erm that you like but still come on your being rediculous. She took a deep breath in and out trying to calm her criticizing thoughts and she smiled a little bit as she waited for an answer. [/blockquote]

Shane watched her take her jacket off, which he had to admit was something fun to watch. He was a guy though so you really could not blame him. That little statement could probably make most men think Shane was trying to make them all look bad but who could blame him with someone as beautiful as Mylie. She was the most beautiful girl around. He had thought this even before he knew she was a witch. Having had a crush on her for over a year now. Her being a witch just made it much more better, being as he did not have to hide anything from her. His Grandma Phoebe used to say that having to hide who you were from those you cared about was just about the hardest thing a person could do. It made you feel like you were lying, and how could you honestly care about someone and lie to them at the same time? It was not really a good way to start things off. Good thing he had a cold the first time he really got up the nerve to go chat with her. If not he would not have caught his hand on fire and he would still have a secret from her. Shane looked up as she stuffed her jacket in her bag and turned around to face him. Which without noticing it at first made him grin really big, making him feel pretty darn stupid.
Yeah well I am not exactly alone anymore am I?
Shane smiled at her. She was perfect really. Always saying the best things to everything. That was one of the reasons that he liked her so much. If only he could tell her how much he liked her. Maybe she liked him back, though he highly doubted it. She seemed like someone who already had a boyfriend. Though he had never really seen her with anyone who made him feel that way. Though she had to, she was pretty, fun and had a wonderful personality. Shane used to have a pretty good personality. He was sure he still did, he just kind of locked himself away after Tabitha died. He was slowly escaping his shell however. Maybe he just needed the right person to bring him back to life again. Who that person was, well that was beyond him, but he was sure he would find them soon enough.
Besides alley’s are only bad for Demons, cause they don’t know when someone like you or I can show up.
That is true. Though it kind of is pretty funny to see there faces when they come to that sudden realization that they are going to lose.
That was one of this favorite things actually. Pretending to just be some kid in the alley. Sometimes he even talks back to them and pretends to be scared. Giving them some hope that they are about to get there next kill. Then showing them what he really is, and he is not just your average Joe. He is a charmed one which tends to always give him an upper hand. However as soon as demons started recognizing the charmed ones by there faces and not just their names he knew he would not be able to pull it off. They would know who he was immediately. Which just meant that he got to vanquish them a little bit quicker then he would have the other way.
So whatchu up to Mr. Samuels, Got anything better to do then walk with me maybe?
You know I could say that I had something better to do, but then I would be lying. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my day really.
Did he just say that out loud? That was a pretty brave statement really. Something that the old Shane would have said but not this new Shane, and even the old Shane had a little bit harder time talking to girl, more so girls that he liked. However it was not like he just said hey wanna go out, or hey I really like you wanna date. No. All he said was that there was nothing better then hanging out with her. That was pretty friend like right? Right?

Kylie saw out of the corner of her eye and it made her smile a little bit as she took care of her jacket. She couldnt help but smile. In her mind she was stuck between feeling like "AH YES I WIN HE LOOKS!" and ohmygod selfconciousness. Cause in her eyes she was just an average joe in looks. She was an ordinary person in an ordinary trying to be different and trying to make a difference. It was kind of complicated but it was just something she just looked at life like.
Kylie watched him smile at her and she couldnt help but smile back shyly. Ah no. Everyone knew her as outgoing out the ears. And if she acted shy around him then he would know she liked him. In a way she wanted to tell him but it was kind of fun doing the flirting and stuff. Besides theres no positive thing saying he liked her back. So she would just have to deal with the innocent flirting.. Hahah get it innocent flirting? They are witches? Ha okay im done. Sorry.
Kylie listened to what Shane said about the demons and she laughed a little bit. "Yeah definently. Then again I kind of feel bad for them. Cause they are like 'oh lets get her' and I end up beating them. Probably pisses them off to get beat by a short shit like me." She spoke and smiled at him as she crossed her arms over her chest. She kept her arms crossed under her chest as she walked over to him smiling all the way.
Kylie listened to what she said and she was kind of taken aback about the way he said it. She smiled and a big rosey blush appeared on her cheeks. "Really?..." She asked softly and smiled a little bit and tried to get rid of the embarassing blush she knew was on her cheeks and probably her nose making her look like rudolph. She cleared her throat a little bit searching for her voice again. "Alright cool." She spoke softly and she bit her lip some as she smiled more.
"So hows the charmed ones business going?" She asked walking close to him with her arms still crossed. "I havent seen Roran for a while. And I have heard hes your whitelighter. Bet that is exciting." She spoke and smiled a little bit. "As you know im not really blessed with a whitelighter for hes gone. Besides I am half whitelighter anyways so I can kick ass times two... And im talking to much again sorry." She spoke feeling the blush appear again. He didnt talk a lot and she realized she talked to much sometimes. So she needed to calm herself down and talk as much as a human does. [/blockquote]

"Yeah definently. Then again I kind of feel bad for them. Cause they are like 'oh lets get her' and I end up beating them. Probably pisses them off to get beat by a short shit like me."
Shane smiled at Kylie when she said this. She was funny, he liked a sense of humor in a girl. It was like the best trait that any of them could have. If someone did not have a sense of humor, it was really hard to develop any kind of relationship with them, whether it be friends, or something more. Which when it came to Mylie he was always wishing that it was going to be something more, but he always got to scared to ask her out. Maybe one day he will get the courage. She knew his secret, she was funny, and she didn’t mind spending time with him. Plus she was a witch. There was so much they had in common and he was sure there was much more, he just needed the chance to find that information. Maybe today would be one of those days. You did not have to go on a date to learn about someone. Who knows really, maybe once he got to know her better he would be more sure about asking her out.
Still pretty funny if you ask me
"Really?..."
Shane could not help but notice her blush a little. Did that mean she liked him. Or was she just someone that blushed. It happened, people blushed all the time. Didn’t mean that she liked him as anything more then just a friend. Though it would be really cool if she did. He smiled when he noticed her smile at him. It was hard not to really.
"Alright cool.
"So hows the charmed ones business going, I havent seen Roran for a while. And I have heard hes your whitelighter. Bet that is exciting. As you know im not really blessed with a whitelighter for hes gone. Besides I am half whitelighter anyways so I can kick ass times two... And im talking to much again sorry."
Shane was glad that she was talking so much. He loved to listen to her talk. It was one of the best things in his opinion. He hated those girls who got all shy and expected him to do all the talking, which he did not mind doing, but it was nice to not be the only talking.
The Charmed One business is going good I guess, I am still not sure what it all means, except I am like powerful and what not, as for Roran, he is great, I really like him. And as for you, I love it….. Like it when you talk, so don’t apologize.”

Kylie watched Shane smile at her back and she put her hands in her pockets. She listened to him say that it was still pretty funny and she nodded. "Yeah at least until they get pissed off and come back with friends." She spoke and smiled a little bit. "But thats okay I have friends too." She spoke tapping her nose randomly with her pointer finger and she winked at him.
Kylie looked at Shane noticing that he was being quiet as usual. She didnt mind at all really. Yeah she did like his voice but she knew he didnt like talking too much. Which made her feel sort of privilaged when he did talk. As corny as that was. Besides, just being in his prescence was amazing. Too bad she couldnt say this to him out loud huh. She can face demons but not boys. Who knows maybe she was out of her mind. She smiled at the thought a little bit.
Kylie pulled herself away from her thoughts when he started to speak again. She listened to what he said and nodded. "Well theres more to it. This may sound stalkish and all but I know a lot about your family. Your family line holds possibly the strongest of the worlds magic. Well besides The Hollow and Nexus and stuff like that. But then again your relatives... The original charmed ones defeated them in the past. Now I really dont mean to sound like another Roran to you for im sure he gets old quick." She spoke with a slight laugh.
"Im just kidding Rorans a cool guy. A little stressful a lot but hes still pretty awesome." She spoke nodding. "But yeah anyways, im sure you will find out everything you need to know. It will all come to you eventually you just have to look you know?" She spoke shrugging a bit. She listened to him talk about her talking and she smiled again and blushed some more. She pushed his shoulder lightly and laughed. "You are such a ham. Do you happen to possess the power of Charming girls like me?" She asked and laughed a little more. "Cause its sure working." She spoke and kept walking with him. [/blockquote]

"Yeah at least until they get pissed off and come back with friends. But thats okay I have friends too."
She was very right. She had friends as well. She had Shane for one. If she ever needed him he would be there in a heartbeat. He did not have the nifty power of orbing, but he can run faster then the speed of light, which would put him wherever she was very quickly. Sometimes that power really sucked. He was about five minutes late home the other day and he never heard the end of it. His mom going off about how it takes him five seconds to get from one place to another. He could have been home exactly on time no matter where he was. Though in this situation it was not using his powers, it was just the mere fact that he was not paying attention to the time. She was not really angry or anything, but she can be a little over dramatic sometimes.
"Well theres more to it. This may sound stalkish and all but I know a lot about your family. Your family line holds possibly the strongest of the worlds magic. Well besides The Hollow and Nexus and stuff like that. But then again your relatives... The original charmed ones defeated them in the past. Now I really dont mean to sound like another Roran to you for im sure he gets old quick."
Shane did not care if she sounded whitelighter like. Roran did what he did for there protection. He was not there to be a burden but a guide and Shane respected that fully. It was actually nice that they had someone like that. They were informed when they needed to be informed, not left out of what was going on. How could that ever be bad. Sure there were some problems with Roran being younger the Skylar and the same age as Scott but that did not mean he was not good at his job, or that he did not know what he was doing. So far he seemed pretty knowledgable. Then again Shane was still pretty new to this magic thing, so anyone who said something confusing to him seemed pretty knowledgable.
"Im just kidding Rorans a cool guy. A little stressful a lot but hes still pretty awesome. But yeah anyways, im sure you will find out everything you need to know. It will all come to you eventually you just have to look you know?"
Yeah I know, its not all going to come to me at once, but I accept that. So I am good.
"You are such a ham. Do you happen to possess the power of Charming girls like me?"
Shane wished that he had that power. Maybe he would have asked Mylie out already if he did. He had always been told by girls that he was like that cool brother, or something like that. Which was nice and all but completely ruined any shots he had with them. Girls did not want to date brother like type guys. If they did, they would not tell him he was brother like to begin with.
"Cause its sure working."
Shane turned his head to face her, and smiled. It was working, as in he was charming her. He could not believe it really. Kind of made him warm and fuzzy on the inside. Almost as if he had a shot. Which would be wonderful. Shane really liked Mylie, more then he had liked any other girl. Now all he needed was courage.
Well that is why I am a Charmed One, guess it comes with the title really. Plus it just comes naturally with you.
Ok kind of lame but he could not help himself really. Though he was nervous about saying that last part out loud. Though it was to late to take it back.

Kylie listened to what Shane said and she nodded. "Yeah true. I mean after all your ancestors kind of had the same start as you three. They didnt know much about anything till it was given to them." She spoke nodding and she noticed she could see her breath in the air. Hmm she never realized how cold it was. She blew out making the smokey breath look and she laughed a little bit. Ah the little things in life that made her laugh.
Kylie watched Shane turn to look at her and she smiled at him a little bit. She listened to what he said and she shook her head. "At the moment I think I am being the Charmed One." She spoke and laughed a little bit. She slowed down her pace a little bit looking at him with a smile. Pfft he had to be so tall just like everyone else D; Oh well she liked when guys were taller then her. She would feel to akward to be taller then a guy.
Kylie listened to what he said last and she smiled again blushing more. "Well... you do have a way with words Mr Samuels.." She spoke and rubbed her face some trying to get rid of the apparent blush. "You better stop before kids start coming up to me thinking im Rudolph." She spoke and laughed a little bit. She knew that when she blushed it appeared on her upper cheeks and on her nose. Quite embarassing really.
"Sooo.... I met someone you know the other day." She spoke trying to carry on the conversation as they walked. "Well a couple of somebodies." She spoke and nodded. "Matthew and Petra were hanging around Magic School the other day and apparently I was uninvited to their little demon tea party. For they didnt take me being there well. But hey at least im still alive after that right?" She spoke with a smile. No matter how bad my back has been lately. She thought to herself. Eh she just needed a chiropractor and she would be as good as new. "Know any reason why they would be at Magic School? They seem to be... Looking for something or something like that." She spoke looking at him with a serious look on her face. [/blockquote]

"Yeah true. I mean after all your ancestors kind of had the same start as you three. They didn’t know much about anything till it was given to them."
Shane nodded remembering all the stories his grandmother had told him. She was the one to read the spell out of the book. Before that they had no idea that magic really existed at all. Shane, Scott and Skylar had a little bit of an advantage being as they knew about magic. They just did not have it for the longest time because of his great aunt Piper. He did not blame her though for what she had done. She was a smart and powerful witch and knew that if she did not do something magic was going to destroy her family. Almost like it had now, with them losing Matthew and Prudence to the side of evil. But he could not dwell on it. He was working at getting over it the best he could. He knew this was a tough business to be in and that nothing was always going to be easy.
At least Scott, Skylar and I knew about magic when we received ours, I think it made accepting it a little bit easier, plus we got to have our magic a while before finding out we were Charmed. We didn’t get it all at once like they did.
Shane looked over at Kylie and smiled when she was making her breath appear in front of her. It was kind of cute really. Though it was about then that he realized it was pretty cold and that she no longer had a jacket on. It was at that point that he took his jacket off and wrapped it around her shoulders. He did not really need a jacket, with the whole fire thing he had learned how to heat his body just to the point before catching fire and that always seemed to do a wonderful job of warming him up or keeping him warm. She needed the jacket more then he did, plus made him feel like a gentleman giving it to her. Which really was a nice feeling.
"At the moment I think I am being the Charmed One. Well... you do have a way with words Mr. Samuels. You better stop before kids start coming up to me thinking im Rudolph."
Shane looked her over, and smiled at her words. She looked cute when she blushed. Though he did not want her to be embarrassed about doing it. It was giving him more confidence really, knowing that he was making her blush. There had to be something in her that liked him or she would not be blushing so darn much. Maybe the future was brighter then he imagined.
Well what is wrong with Rudolph, I mean he was the most important reindeer of all. If you ask me that is.
"Sooo.... I met someone you know the other day, Well a couple of somebodies, Matthew and Petra were hanging around Magic School the other day and apparently I was uninvited to their little demon tea party. For they didn’t take me being there well. But hey at least im still alive after that right?"
Shane listened intently to what she was saying. Made him kind of angry that Matthew was evil and yet the only thing that he was really thinking was how glad he was that Mylie was ok. He did not give much care to Matthew anymore, the only reason he still felt for Prudence was because of how close they had been once upon a time. Which that feeling was slowly going away. Sure it would help in vanquishing them one day, but it made him feel like a bad cousin, giving up on them so easy. However he had to keep telling himself that they were kind of already dead. There was just a demon who was now taking there bodies hostage.
"Know any reason why they would be at Magic School? They seem to be... Looking for something or something like that."
I couldn’t say for sure, there is so much they could learn in magic school, they have books about everything. Did you happen to see them with anything?

Kylie listened to what Shane said about them having the powers they had and how they were lucky they didnt have to learn it all at once. "Yeah... And besides you three also have something else that your relatives didnt at the start." She spoke and smiled a little bit. "You have friends and family to back you up every step of the way... It doesnt matter if Matthew and Prudence turned evil... Good always prevails... There may be two sources this time but they are going to have to take on everybody... You have more friends then you think Shane." She spoke with a smile.
"For example the mystical creatures arent too flattered about the new sources. Im sure if you get them to side with you guys and do a few favors for them then they will be behind you too. Like the Vampires... They arent that thrilled about the source being back for they are being forced out of the Underworld again." She spoke nodding. "But I would be careful with them they arent ones to trust easily." She spoke and thought about it. "There is more in this world then you could imagine." She spoke with a smile thinking about it all.
Kylie watched her smile at him and she smiled back making more breathish smoke come from the side of her mouth. She blinked when he started to take off his jacket. She felt him put it around her shoulders and she smiled a little bit. "Thanks... But if you get cold tell me... Dont need you getting a cold seeing as last time you sneezed you caught your hand on fire." She spoke smiling at him.
Kylie listened to what he said about Rudolph and she rolled her eyes a little bit with a smile. "Yeah yeah yeah... Tell that to me when I have hundreds of little kids chasing after me thinking I can take them to the North Pole... Well I can but thats not the point." She spoke laughing a little bit. "But if I see a big fat old guy in a red suit coming towards me then im going to run for it kay?" She spoke and laughed a little bit.
Kylie listened to what he said and she thought back to it. "Well... I kind of sneaked around before they found me.... or before I made my grand entrance by pissing off Petra.. Shes not the biggest fan of me right now." She spoke smirking a little bit. "The Source... Or Matthew... Whatever same thing, had like a bunch of demons there... And he told them to look for anything important and if it did to report back to him. I think they searched all of Magic School but im not sure. Disintegrating demons and floors under them kind of became tiring as well as the being bashed into walls... Note to self dont hold onto a demons back." She spoke scrunching her face some at the thought. She hugged the jacket to herself a little bit feeling a chill. Mmm it smelled like Shane too which was a good thing. But if she starts to zone out and fall asleep you might have a problem. [/blockquote]
