She walked to the elevator after leaving the office of the newspaper that her grandmother owned and stood impatiently waiting for the elevator to get to her floor and to carry her downstairs. She rolled her eyes and shoved her coach purse further up on her arm and crossed her arms wishing she had a cool power like speeding up time. She sighed when it finally dinged letting her know it was on her floor. She stepped on the elevator riding it down to the lobby so she could leave the building.
She walked out into the lobby was suddenly slightly thrown sideways. She frowned and looked over seeing it was some guy. She mumbled an apology and made her way for the revolving door. When she was finally outside she took in a deep breath of air and sighed in contentment. She loved this city...she began to walk again and looked behind her seeing the same guy that had run into her.
"May I ask where you're going?"

Roran was immediately annoyed when the Elders had called him up that morning to inform him that they wished him to become knowledged with the family of the new future Charmed Ones he would be assigned to as soon as they got their powers which would was supposedly any day now. So, he had decided to start with checking out Maida Fields, who he had followed all the way from her house to the Bay Mirror. Yes, it may seem stalkerish to some people, but he did not want to just barge in randomly. So, he had casually waited for her in the lobby while she had gone up to the offices, at least that's where he presumed she had gone.
He couldn't help but to jump a little as Maida announced to him her arrival by accidentally bumping into him. Her looks immediately intrigued him- it wasn't a surprise that he had gone for one of the girl relatives first and also the one who was a twin. As she made her way out of the building, Roran casually followed behind her. But, it seemed that he wasn't as skilled at stalking as he had hoped when Maida turned around to question him on where he was going.
Now, he knew he could be a complete jerk about such a question, but he didn't want to give a bad first impression to this girl knowing that he would probably be assigned to the Charmed Ones for a long time. And, she was attractive, so he wouldn't mind being on her good side.
"No where particular, why do you ask?" Roran questioned her with a smile on her face, pretending that he was not stalking her at all and was instead confused on why she had asked such a thing.

Maida moved over out of the way of the other people walking past her. She crossed her arms staring at him. She licked her lips exchanging her weight to her other leg. She looked him up and down and had to admit he was attractive, but being a stalker in her eyes wasn't. Was he a demon? The first thought that entered her mind about him knowing if he was he wasn't stupid enough, as least she hoped, to attack her in public. But if he was a mortal, she couldn't come out and just ask him. She shifted her weight again and stared at him eyeing him up and down.
"Well considering I saw you standing in the lobby of the Bay Mirror doing nothing, and only leaving when I did...I'd assume that you were following me....you know just by the facts..."
She smirked and moved her black purse, one that she stole from a photoshoot that matched her blue dress and black pumps, further up on her shoulder before crossing her arms and raising an eyebrow at him slowly extending her hand and thinking that if she could survive Matt almost trying to kill her she should be fine right?
"I'm Maida Fields....and you are.....? Someone I should know....?"
She smiled again pulling back her hand incase she needed it. She looked at him again hoping he would come clean, and if not she could always leave. She was supposed to be going to meet her sister and father at his agency, but Maida had other plans. She was going to walk to her other agency, her modeling agency, and fiugre something to do about her next shoot and meet up with her mom for lunch, hopefully.
"Well If you don't mind I'm actually going somehwere, so in my mind...you have two choices. A: you leave and go stalk someone else because as much as it seems my life really isn't all that intersting or B: you can continue to follow me though I don't think you'll get very far followng me around in the agency..."
She stopped staring at him again feeling like she had seen him before but not really sure where. She paused looking him up and down again and shaking her head not being able to put where she had noticed him before and guessed it was just while he was apparently stalking her. She turned and began to walk again taking a glance over her shoulder to see if he had still decided to follow her or not.

Roran was just going to continue to lie after her first reply, but when she continued to speak to him, he knew that was no longer an option. He could not help but curse in his head as she explained to him his two options. Neither of them seemed suitable to him. Sure there were other people he could so called stalk, but he figured that he might as well just get it over with. He admitted that he was nervous for this would be the first time he was going to introduce himself to one of the descendants of the original Charmed Ones. He didn't know all about them like most older whitelighters than him did, but he had done a fair amount of research, enough that would get him by for now.
Roran was glad that she continued to smile which hopefully meant that she was not going to like attack him in either a defensive human way or perhaps even with her powers. It probably would have been smart of him to research all of the Charmed families powers before meeting them, but he never thought of such things like that- Roran was never one to be prepared and that's why he often questioned why he was assigned to be the Charmed Ones whitelighter. But the Elders had gotten sick of him questioning them about it, so he kept his doubts to himself now.
He watched as Maida turned around and began to walk away before he could respond. He sighed and rushed off after her calling out, "Wait, Maida." It probably wasn't the smartest idea to call out her name, but his cover was basically blown anyway. He rushed after her, the cold wind blowing his jacket out, away from him. "Let me introduce myself," he asked her as he slowed his pace when he caught up with her.
"I'm Roran...Roran Williams, and I've been assigned to your cousins Skylar, Scott, and Shane," he explained. He wondered if he was supposed to tell her all the details because she probably had no clue that they were the future Charmed Ones. "As their whitelighter," he clarified to her in a hushed tone, while looking around to make sure no one was at all listening to them.
Roran looked back at her, hoping that she would believe him. He could have been lying and masking as a demon, but he himself knew that he could not pass that off.
(( Alright, I typed this up with my iPhone inbetween holes of golf, so I apologize in advance to all the random mistakes I probably made. ))

((ha ha ha no thats good no worries lol))
Maida turned around when he called her name letting her know he was going to continue following her, but then he mentioned her cousins only one of which she was pretty close too and the others well those were other stories. She stared at him in slight confusion before pulling him aside again and staring him up and down not knowing whether to believe him or not. She knew she couldn't attack him in broad daylight, but then again her waves were invisible.... She crossed her arms eyeing him again slowly.
"Why were you assigned to them? What makes them so special?"
She turned taking him arm and grabbing her cell phone to let the agency know she wasn't coming and then she called her mom and said she was headed to the manor instead of going out to lunch with her. She dropped her phone back in her purse and turned back to Roran staring at him again. She found her car, a tiny black convertible, and motioned for him to get in.
"You're coming to the manor with me aren't you?"
She knew that a lot of people wouldn't be there right now as most of them were busy during the day so unless one of her younger cousins were there the house would be empty. She got in her car and headed for the manor questioning and pulling information from Roran on the way.
"So if you were assigned to my cousins, why are you stalking me of all people?"
She looked over at him raising an eyebrow and pulling down her sunglasses as she barrelled down the street.

Roran could not help but to feel a little nervous when Maida looked him up and down while crossing her arms like most girls did when they believed they were being lied to. He did not really want to prove such a thing to her, well he couldn't at the moment in this very public part of town. Roran was even still a little shaky with his powers, which was aother reason that he wondered why he had been assigned to protect such powerful witches. He knew he would look inexperienced to them, but he would try his best not to seem like it.
Roran jumped a little as Maida grabbed his arm and then was confused as she began to talk on her cell phone. He was about to continue to explain himself but then she dialed another number. He hoped that he had not completely screwed up her plans for the day becayse it seemed like she kept cancelling events. But, she could have just told him to leave her alone, and he might have listened to her, but instead it seemed like she wanted to continue to talk to him.
Roran could only nod when she questioned him on coming to the Manor, but it seemed like the question was rather rhetorical as she motioned for him to get into her car. It was pretty nice, the seat was comfortable at least, and he quickly buckled up, hoping that Maida was a good driver. It was all happening so fast, but he had been the one to cayse all the havoc.
"Eh, your cousins aren't special really, you know?" he lied. "All witches should have a whitelighter..." Roran hoped she would stop questioning her after that question, but no he continued to hound him with questions during the ride to the Manor.
"Well, I, uh, was told to come familiar with the entire Halliwell family," Roran explained as he pointed up towards the roof of the car referring to 'Elder Land.' Even though most of the family's last name wasn't Halliwell anymore, most of the Elders still referred to them as the Halliwell- the most feared name in the Underworld.
Roran watched as she placed her sunglasses over her eyes. Yes, this girl had class, he had to give her that.

She listened to him when he finally told her the elders had sent him down here to get aquainted with the family, what large of one they did have.
"Well why start with me I mean there's like five thousand cousins that you could've chosen from not to mention my twin..."
She looked over at him and smiled before pulling up to the manor and parking on the street. She opened her car door and got out walking around to the other side before slowly jogging up her steps so she wouldn't mess up her heels. She pushed open the front door and turned in the foyer watching him walk in once again noticing his good looks. She set down her purse on the table next to her and crossed her arms smirking.
"So are you going to so me what you've got whitelighter?"
She looked over at the couch in the living room and concentrated on it before sending only a few mere feet across the room not wanting to trash the house of course. She looked over at him and smirked.
"I supposed to be able to astral project myself, like Prue before she died...but I haven't exactly mastered that yet..."
She set her hands on her hips and stared at him tilting her head thinking she could probably have some serious fun with this guy, he looked the type.
"So how long have you been a white lighter anyway? I don't think you fit the typical standard...."
She smiled again and stared at him patiently.
"So how much do you know about this family? Do you know about all of our freak cousins like Prudence and Matthew, they're both evil by the way...well Prue is Matt is just posessed by a demon..."
She looked over at him and smiled again and stopped talking before she started babbling about something stupid. She turned walking into a kitchen and grabbing an apple of the counter in the middle of the room watching Roran intently still not sure if she should trust him, but then thinking that if he was a demon he would've attacked her by now she decided to just go for it.

Roran decided to remain quiet and not answer her questions until they reached the Manor. He could not help but to admire the beautiful structure before entering through the door. He tried to imagine how much had gone on in this house. This was the house that had belonged to the Halliwell family for decades upon decades. The original Charmed Ones had received their powers in this manor, and the new Charmed Ones would soon receive theirs as well.
"I hope there's not five thousand of you..." Roran joked with her as he entered into the threshold. "But, I just looked at my list, closed my eyes, and pointed to your name." Sadly Roran did not have such a list for he actually just had to memorize everyone in the family before the Elders sent him off. He felt like he had forgotten all of them already. He wasn't exactly sure why he had chosen Maida first compared to her twin. Perhaps it was just her name that intrigued him.
As Roran walked into the foyer, he eyed the furniture and items around the room, trying to remember every piece, just for future concerns. When Maida questioned him on showing her what he had, he wasn't exactly sure what to show her. His powers were only minimal and probably seemd pretty weak when put up against a witch.
Roran watched her use her telekinesis on the living room couch. He knew that she probably could have sent it much farther, but the house had already gone through many fixes in its lifetime, and there was no need to cause a mess unless completely necessary.
He nodded as Maida explained that she also possessed the power of astral projection. He found that power to be very fascinating and useful, and wished she could have shown it to him. When Maida brought up the death of Prue, Roran couldn't help but to look away awkwardly. He had of course studied about her death, and it was a very sad one indeed. So many events had just gone wrong that day, and it had to end with that.
"It just takes practice," Roran tried to explain. "Try not to be nervous just go for it and you'll be able to control it." Roran giving advice, haha, that would have been a joke before he had become a whitelighter. But now he understood that it was his job, and he was just about getting the hang of it.
Roran decided to show her just one of his few powers by closing his eyes and orbing, reappearing next to her in the kitchen. "I've only been a whitelighter for a few months now," he explained. "And thanks..." he continued referring to him not fitting the typical standard.
"Well, I know enough..." he admitted. "And yes, I know of those two's difficulties, and hopefully it's only temporary. They are Halliwells, of course, they're born good."

She jumped and swore under her breath pointing at him.
"I may be the twin that accepts magic, but thats one thing I'm still getting used to..."
She smiled biting into her apple and eyeing him slowly shrugging when he brought up Prue and MAtt and how they may have been born good.
"Speak for yourself, Matt's already tried to kill me twice in a period of about a week..."
She smiled shrugging it off and leaning agains the counter.
"So how did you become a whitelighter in the first place? Don't you have to...you know, die?"
She pushed her long brown locks back behind her back and crossed her arms studying him. He deffiently looked familiar from something though she couldn't put a name to it, and he deffiently didn't fit the whitelighter standard. Though, she was only going based off the ones in her family having never met any others.
"So how old are you anyway?"
She picked up her apple once again sinking her teeth into it and pulling a chunck away from it before conservatively chewing it still watching and listenting to him intently knowing he was probably getting annoyed with all of her questions, but if he was her cousins whitelighter she had to know at least something about him right?

Roran let out a light laugh as Maida jumped. He was confused by her comment on her twin not accepting magic- he hadn't really done his research on the two the best yet, and perhaps that was the reason he first wished to meet her. He decided not to admit that he was still not used to it himself and instead he decided to pretend that he was much better with it than he really was.
He was concerned that it seemed like Matt was far more evil than he had hoped for. Attempting to kill one of his own relatives was a step up from before maybe even two steps up. Roran would have to get the Charmed Ones on stopping him as soon as he became their official whitelighter. But, it seemed like Maida wasn't too worried about it and hopefully that meant she saw hope in stopping it.
Roran smiled when Maida questioned him on how he became a whitelighter, enjoying her added touch on the fact that he must be dead. "Yes...I guess you can call me dead," he told her with another charming smile. "And it was all because I just had to risk my life and save another soul by jumping in front of a car. Wasn't very pleasant might I add." Roran's tragic story kind of amused him now, for he still wondered why he had done what he did. But, there was no going back now.
"But, how old do you think I am?" Roran questioned, deciding not to answer her question but instead throw it back at her. He knew that she would probably be able to guess right. He looked and acted his age- there wasn't no doubt about that.
Roran finally began to wonder if Maida recognized him for who he was. No sparks seemed to fly when he mentioned his name to her, so he figured she must not recognize him for being the Roran Williams. Yes, Roran was slightly cocky when it came to being recognized for his fame, but he couldn't help it, he was usually treated like a star.

She took another bite of her apple as he told her how he died still concentrating on the fact that she thought she had seen him from somewhere, but not being able to point a perfectly manicured finger on it she decided not to bring it up, especially if he hadn't brought up her modeling career.
"Why in the hell would you jump infront of a car?"
She knew he probably wouldn't be able to answer that, I mean who thought of dying? When it came to her and Matt and he tried to kill her she would've given anything to be out of that situation so she didn't understand how someone could risk their life for a complete stanger. The only two people she would likely give her life for would be her sister and mother, but as far as she knew they weren't scheduled to die anytime soon so she didn't exactly have to worry.
"Oh I don't know, I would say close you my age...I'm nineteen by the way."
She looked over at the trash can pulling it twoard herself and ropping her apple in before sending it back in it's proper place not really caring whether it was considered personal gain or not. She looked up at him and smirked shrugging finally deciding to bring up where she had seen him before or it was going to eat her alive.
"Okay I know this is really random, or at least it seems random to me, but I feel like I've seen you somewhere before..I just...don't know where, I mean aside from the whole stalking me thing..."
She shrugged and smiled laughing briefly before resting her elbow on the counter and resting her chin in her palm listening to him probably more intently than she listend to anyone else, but she found him...intriguing. She didn't know why she was so intriguied by him, on any other day she wouldn't have given a "Stalker" a second thought other than to attack him, but maybe it was becuase she finally had someone to share magic with of all things outside her family. She had such a big family that a lot of the time that was what her life was consumed with and it seemed rare that she ever met people outside of it.

"That's a very interesting point," Roran told Maida, confused on the question himself. Why did he jump in front of that speeding car? Why did he almost wreck all he had had ever worked for with one simple move? That lady that he had saved could have been a complete waste of time- he didn't like to think of such things but perhaps she was a druggie or a future murderer- he would never know. "I guess I just don't think before I act..."
"You would be right," Roran answered, feeling just a little intimidated knowing that she was a full year older, but he tried not to show it. "I'm eighteen and legal." Well, not legal to drink yet, but Roran was legal enough to handle his own money and basically his own life. It was strange to him knowing that he would techincally never age after this for the rest of eternity. He was eighteen forever- sure he might not act eighteen forever but he would always look it, and that had it's ups and downs.
Roran watched her again demonstrate her powers by moving the trash can towards her. It seemed a little lazy for donig so, but he couldn't blame her. If you had the power why not use it? He hoped to master more of his own powers better. Orbing always came in handy- but what else could he do?
Roran smiled when Maida admitted to him that she had thought that she had seemed him before. Recognition- just what he loved and wanted. "Yeah actually I'm an actor..." he explained. "I've been a little out of it recently because of all this, but I've done a few good films and some television spotlights in my day."
He remembered back to the day when he had first got a part in a major motion picture. He had only been fourteen then. Sure it had only been four years, but a lot had happened since then. A lot had happened over the past months actually.
He thought back to her whole saying besides the whole stalking thing. It had just been so strange how they had met and where they were now, but he was glad that she seemed okay with all of it and they seemed to be on excellent terms for such things occuring. She was the first person he had really talked to who has magical and wasn't one of his charges or an Elder. And he was beginning to enjoy her presence more and more as they continued to talk.

"Hm...."
She smirked and winked at him when telling her he was actually 18. "Well at least 18 is a good age to be forever right? Or would you rather be 21?" She smiled at him enjoying having this sort of one on one with him not even guessing that this is how her day was supposed to go. Right now of all things she was supposed to be meeting up with her Dad and Mischa, but in her eyes this may be at least ten times better. She kinked an eyebrow at him when he said he was an actor that apparently had all these major roles. She smiled again and nodded.
"Yeah that would be it, but then again I'm suprised you didn't recognize me then, I've been modeling since I was atleast seven...Mischa though, she's the actress...."
She laughed briefly again once more looking him over and leaning forward once again resting her chin in her palm.
"So why is it a little witch got so lucky that such a fmous actor like youself is stalking me? I must be hotter than I thought..."
She winked at him again and smiled enjoying the teasing and somewhat minor innocent flirting. Maida was always the more outgoing and flirty one, but she had to admit that he was attractive himself.
"Don't worry Roran I think you're pretty hot too..."
She smiled lightly nudging him before hoisting herself up onto the counter letting her legs dangle and looking down into his eyes.
"So what? You stalked me to know more about the family? What could you possibly want to know that you already don't?"
She raised an eyebrow at him again this time in curiousity at maybe his real intentions, but still not wanting to dampen the mood by getting too serious. That was one thing Maida never handled bery well were completely serious sitations, which was most likely why her and her Dad never really got along as he did with Mischa.

"Eh, I guess, but yeah maybe twenty one would be better," Roran replied. "Though, technically in the real world...yes compared to the fake world, well in the non-magical world I'll be seen as twenty one, so I'll be legal for drinking in the future. But, it's not like being legal truly matters." Yes, these were the things that Roran thought about. He wondered what would happen when he began to age, well not truly age, but when he was supposed to age. He didn't know if he could pull of being thirty while truly looking to be eighteen. Did that mean his acting career would have to end around that age? Oh, the horrors- what would he do in the future?
A light flicked on in Roran's head as Maida mentioned that she was also in a similar business with modeling. "Oh yeah, I have actually seen you in ads. Didn't you do a Gap ad not too long ago...but you can't blame me, I could have thought it was your sister. Roran was interested in meeting Mischa and seeing how different she was than Maida. Or, were they unbelievable similar, but Maida had already mentioned a few of their major differences with magic and all.
Roran smiled when Maida replied with 'I must be hotter than I think.' She was hot, he didn't deny it. He was confused by her wink- was Maida actually doing a little innocent flirting with him? Well, it's not like he was annoyed by it, he actually enjoyed it very much. "Heh, yes, you found me out- the true reason I decided to stalk you first was for your looks," Roran replied. Well, actually, it wasn't a lie, that had been one of the reasons he had hoped for before seeing her, but for now he would just seem like it was just plain flirting.
Roran watched her bring herself up onto the counter, and looked up at her, their eyes connecting. The beauty she possessed was incredible- no wonder she was a model. It didn't matter if she could pose or not in his mind, he would buy a product that she advertised even if she was just standing next to it.
"Yeah, that's pretty much it. It's my job to know the Halliwell descendants inside and out, so I guess I can check you off on the list," Roran said.

She nodded smirking as he thought about being twenty one and how he wouldn't nessecarily age. It was a shame that he wouldn't though she thought back to grandpa Leo and how he had aged, but then again he had fallen from grace so he techinically didn't count. She nodded and momentarily posed as if flaunting the beauty she knew she had.
"Uh yeah unfortuantely I did...usually I only do more high end fashion like posing for Elle or I actually have a contract coming up with Victoria's Secret..."
She smirked excitedly and looked down at him not knowing why she felt so posessed to know more about him. She crossed her legs and leaned back slightly on her hands that were slightly stretched out behind her enjoying that he was flirting back with her.
"Oh no thats where you've got me wrong, you still have yet to see my completely rebellious side. Like earlier today I was supposed to meet up with my father and Mischa because he wasn't us to take over his agency, but then I was going to go to lunch with my mom instead becuase I would rhater model than run a damn businnes...and now i'm hanging out with you...aren't you just one lucky guy?"
She smiled at him again sitting slightly forward resting her arms on her knees her face closer to his now taking in the scent of his cologne.
"So how much do you actually know about our family, and who else have you met?"
She jumped down off the counter still standing only a few icnhes from him before smirking and taking a step back and listening intently to him again.
